From Prague
- By train - There are frequent trains from Prague main station to Pardubice (one per hour, the travel time approx. 90 min).
- By car - Highway D11 to Exit 42 (Poděbrady-Východ), then main road No. 11 to Nové Město and road No. 36 to Pardubice.
- By car - Highway D1 to Exit 162 (Velká Bíteš), then main road No. 37 to Pardubice.
- By car - main road No. 58 to Příbor, then road E462 to Lipník nad Bečvou and road E442 to Holice and road No. 36 to Pardubice.
For use of Czech highways (D1 - D11) and motorways (R4-R52) it is obligatory to paste a highway stamp on your car. No stamps are necessary for normal roads.
The stamps with different validity periods can be bought at the cross border points, petrol stations or at Czech Post offices. Further information on travelling in Czech Republic is available at portal.gov.cz.
To get from the Prague Ruzyně airport to the center of the city (main railway station): Take taxi or bus line 119, change for Metro line A at the Dejvická station terminal, change again at Muzeum station for line C to the next stop (Hlavní nádraží).
In Pardubice: Buses and trolleybuses (running within 10 - 15 min. intervals during the daytime) connect the city railway station with the University Congress Hall and most recommended hotels (trolleybus No. 11 connects Zlatá Štika hotel to congress hall,
bus No. 7 connects Hotel Arnošt to congress hall). The one way ticket price is 10,- CZK. Hotels Harmony, Sport and Labe are in the walking distance from the Congress Hall (less than 15 minutes walk). The University Hostel is in 2 minutes walking distance.

Weather
The weather is usually mild and pleasant in Pardubice by mid-September, with average temperatures between 15 - 20 degrees, but occasional showers can be expected by that season.
