Scientific Programme

The scientific programme will start on Monday September 12 morning and the Symposium will close on Wednesday September 14 at the noon. The scientific programme will include plenary and keynote lectures of invited speakers and contributed oral lectures in paralel sessions. Most contributions will be presented in poster sessions. During the symposium, two young scientists' lecture sessions will be held. In connection with the symposium, a commercial exhibition of the instruments, chemicals, consumables, etc. will take place in the areas adjacent to the lecture rooms. Short workshops will be organized on hot topics such as separations on chips and 2D - LC separations.

Poster Competition

Poster competition will be arranged with interesting prizes for the winners.

1st prize 500 EUR offered by the European Society for Separation Science

Further prizes are offered by Faculty of Chemical Technology, University of Pardubice, Agilent Technologies and by the organizers of the 12th ISSS (2006) in Slovenia (Slovenian Chemical Society together with Austrian Society for Analytical Chemistry).

The prizes are intended to facilitate the main authors of the winning posters participation at international symposia on analytical separations to be held in 2006 in the Central-European region, including the 12th ISSS International Symposium on Separation Science in Lipica, Slovenia, Sept 27 to 29, 2006.

Wiley company offers to the winners one year free subscription of the Journal of Separation Sciences and book vouchers worth 200 and 100 USD for Wiley books.

A post-congress excursion to Kutná Hora on Wednesday September 14 can be organized via a travel agency in case of a sufficient number of participants. Kutná Hora is a mediaeval town, listed on the UNESCO National Heritage list. The historical centre of Kutná Hora, St. Barbara's Cathedral and the Monastic Church of the Assumption of Our Lady in Sedlec are the masterpieces of gothic architecture.
